There's also the right-wing control of social media platforms, which there's no historical precedent for. It probably won't be too hard to come up with some new boogeymen about minorities (DEI, CRT, "woke", immigrant caravans, etc.) or LGBT people ("Men in women's bathrooms", surgeries on teenagers, etc.) to rile up their voters like they always do and push it on the platforms.
