I'm too old for fairy tales. I studied the history, and did the math. Unless you marginalize us to the degree that we have absolutely nothing, we will keep taking it on the chin and complaining. Only when you try to strip us of everything, will we actually fight back.

The white man has decided that it's worth it to share a little and pacify us. It doesn't help that there are so many famous, highly successful blacks. It creates an even greater illusion of inclusion than merely outlawing institutional racism alone. Of course we know racism is still practiced, but it is illegal on paper.
