Maybe i'm naive but i believe it more of a vote AGAINST clinton. She just wasn't the right choice.

Nah, Obama birthed a lot of these angry white people. You noticed people were getting more and more openly racist? Race relations since Obama took office have gotten worse.

I think there are many factors.

1) Some folk just can't stand Clinton. Oddly enough they like her better than a racist, mysoginistic, xenophobe.
2) Hillary is a woman. A lot of people still do not see women as leaders in this kind of role.
3) Working class whites have created a narrative that they are being oppressed and it is all due to democrats
4) Hillary represented the "elite" (so did Barack) and a lot of people hated them for it.

Did I think Trump would win? No. But I'm not at all surprised that he won. The lowest form of people have a crapload of power in America.

thats what this election should have been. a populist election, with two political non-establishment candidates; bernie repping the left, and trump repping the right

Looking at the numbers, the race was incredibly close.

Trump got less votes than Romney in 2012.

Also third party votes fukked this election.

People just didn't like Hillary enough to overcome the small leads Trump had in key states.
