I think people are sort of sick of people doing a whole lotta talking and running out the clock. Hilary isn't going to be able to do anything until 2020 and redistricting. If she is being taken to the max now, in 4 years progressives will want one of their own. If she want she can run on the moderate republican ticket, independent, or whatever party she calculates will accept her.
Either she is out of the Democratic Party, or the progressives leave the party and do their thing. She can go to West Virginia and pander to fracking people until she is blue in the face. Either way, she's done.

Obama basically ran very close to Bernie in 2008. Revisionist history from the MSM will say it was a toss between him and Hillary. Obama clearly ran on redistribution of wealth, the GOP even tried to nail him as a socialist with that fool Joe the Plumber. He wanted money out of politics too.
