That's all well and good, but what is it that we're talking about? in this thread

Are we talking about people disrespecting the president, or are we talking about a racist float? Disrespecting someone isn't the same as being a racist to someone, even if the disrespect secretly stems from the racism.

Was the float "disrespectful" or was it "racist?"

I'm not here for lawyer speak... It stems from racism so its racist. That is the root cause of the disrespectful birthers movement float and CAC obama opposition. They would tell u its policy and such and you would be a fool to even entertain that conversation. People that aren't honest with themselves can't be honest inherently. As an outside observer (Canadian) of Obamas who term so far it is clear as day to me that racism has been an underlying theme in a lot of his public opposition.

Serious question: how exactly is this float racist?

There's a dummy in overalls in front of a "presidential library" depicted as an outhouse. That's not racist. Vitriolic, maybe. But not racist. Is there something about the dummy I'm not seeing? Doesn't look like a Sambo doll or anything. Just a panicked facial expression.
