Best president of my lifetime and I doubt that changes any time soon. Not perfect but quite consequential in multiple ways. For all the criticisms from the left, some of which I certainly agree with, I don't think internet people respect Obamacare nearly enough. The Medicaid expansion is arguably the most consequential liberal policy since the 1960s and has saved or improved countless lives. I don't think it's a coincidence that Obamacare remains so popular today, even in red states. Or that red states continue to expand parts of it as republican lawmakers get overruled by the people. Oklahoma finally approved the Medicaid expansion two years ago for instance.

He's probably the most popular and respected politician in this country, to this day. That tells you everything you need to know. And his popularity outside the US is icon status.

Yes the average black man in America is born into wealth and also have a white mother. Other races don't need to idolise individuals because excellence is normalised in general.

Neither should we as most people (especially politicians) aren't worth idolising.

For the record out of all the pieces of shyt world leaders I'm sure Obama is a far more reasonable and grounded person than the rest but my point still stands

Again, showing what's possible

Y'all don't get it

I give it to Obama that he will probably be the best president for a couple of generations.

But all that first black this and that is a stain on his legacy. One because he was birth from a blue blood white woman and black people don't have white parents (I know I don't). And two, that man shucked n jived for white folks too damn much for me to consider him representative of anything pro black.

If that's what we doing, let's just give Clarence Thomas his flowers now for just being a black Supreme Court judge.

I wont tear Obama down, but I will say he's the first president to approve same sex marriage, and transgenders. I want someone ITT to name one thing Obama did for black folks.
