He really said nothing more than any rationale person would say.

The problem with aliens is...it causes us to miss a more important probability that I believe is the case here: There's another NHI present right here on this planet.
Of course there is. You can find them at sea world. :russ:

are you saying it’s unlikely for aliens above what humans can comprehend to come to earth?

Complex life with human or a greater form of intelligence? Could be, but I believe people overestimate things. For us to come into existence (non-religious context), took damn-near perfect conditions and a lot of predatory species dying out due to random occurrences. Even then, we barely survived and almost died out.

If such aliens are out there, okay, but they don't matter to us unless they come into contact with us. Otherwise, I will just rest on my opinion that such a species probably doesn't exist.

So that people are focused on the pretend aliens and not whatever military tech is being developed.
What people?
You talking about the masses?

What would they care about citizens(majority who don’t even follow military tech advancements) and what they think about development

Ok, I feel what you saying, no homo

But I will say a consistent theory is humans are genetically modified beings, and while I haven’t seen concrete proof there ain’t no strong arguments on why we couldn’t be genetically modified beings, at least none that I heard off

Shiddd according to some “Caucasians” aren’t even native to this planet, they wasn’t hear from the beginning

I agree if we can't see them and we can't interact with them, then they might as well not exist.

But statistically speaking it only took 4 billion years for us to exist as humans . The universe is 3 times that age, And universe has at least 2,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets. Even if only half a percent of them are habitable at this moment in time, then at least 1 followed by 21 zeros habitable planets are playing that life lottery . Its statistically impossible that nobody else won, and exists at the same time we do.

My only thing is that the universe is so big that it's unlikely we will ever meet or communicate with each other. It takes almost 100,000 years for a message to get from one end of our own galaxy to the other end. And there are a quadrillion galaxies. It would probably be more efficient to throw a message in a bottle into the ocean and have it reach someone in Ulaanbaatar than trying to contact another species in space.

(Yes I know Mongolia is landlocked, that's my point)

I can understand how people say the universe so big would we realistically run into another species

But at the same time, I think it’s a lot we don’t even understand yet about what it is for real, by it I mean the universe and everything that comes with the universe(physical, metaphysical, spiritual, the soul, consciousness, psyche, etc.)

I think it’s so much we don’t even understand for real we can’t really say what it is or what it ain’t

That's a bit outside my depth breh :hubie:

Unfortunately I am a man of science , so I can only really relate to you from the perspective of the physical.

My entire universe is what I can touch or see or what i can use an instrument to touch or see . Even with mental concepts, I see them from the perspective of neurotransmitters and synapses , not from psyche or consciousness.

You right, we can only deal with what’s in front of us, what we can see feel taste

But don’t they say we only use a certain amount of our brains?

Quite the opposite. But Don't listen to me, listen to the scientists at MIT :hubie:

I think that's just something they came up with for a good movie plot. BTW limitless is actually one of my favorite movies ever so it was a bummer for me when I found out the truth too:pachaha:

I hate this shyt so much because the people that run with this kind of thing never take the time to research what actual PHYSICISTS say about the possibility of such things. It’s part of the world we live in where the average buffoon thinks his feelings or some shyt he saw on social media by some random account is as good as the people who actually dedicate their lives to trying to understand how things work.

For anyone interested in actually hearing what a physicist has to say, giving actual science based details here is a video. Spoiler alert: even if there was the possibility of a technologically advanced civilization existing somewhere out there the chances that they can visit here is minimum. And adding to that our time period is less than a fraction of a millisecond compared to the history of the universe so even if it was possible for them to traverse distances of space to get here the odds that they would exist alongside us is so astronomically low it’s actually not really worth considering.

At the end of the day only two things should convince anyone that aliens ever visited Earth- a ship or a body. That’s it.
