They can't keep the "good parts" without the mandate. the only reason the good parts ie preexisting conditions, kids till 26, women the same as men, old people not ass raped is because of the mandate.
The mandate pushes younger healthier people in which let's the insurance Co have more income to cover the older and sicker and still make a profit.

The "good parts" cannot exist without high premiums. The whole reason why insurances were pulling out of the ACA was because there were not enough healthy people on the plan to shift the cost of those with pre-existing conditions who are the main users of healthcare.
Until health care is a constitutional right, "reform" will be apart of discussion every 4 years. This country is pathetic and if your poor be prepared to die.
