People argue that they're being forced to have healthcare... meaning, if they weren't being forced they would continue on without healthcare. Well, they CAN do that, but they will pay a tiny tiny tiny tiny fine. The fact remains that they didn't choose/want to be uninsured, so they decided to pay for obamacare. If they couldn't afford/didn't want obamacare they would pay a very small fine

But the fine isnt "tiny" in 2016 and your doing to much assuming that EVERYBODY that was uninsured before is paying for obamacare because they want it. Im sure a large percentage of those people are insured through medicaid which means they really arent paying much, if not nothing at all.. typical liberal shytck of playing the assumption game without facts smh

How is this an excuse for right now? People chose between signing up and paying the small fine this year. If it was about the fine like you said, any rational person would take the small hit this year and sign up when the penalties become more severe later on down the road. Your argument doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Not well schooled enough to comment much on it as a policy, but why should there be a fine for people who do not want to sign up? Whether its a good thing short/long term or a bad thing short/long term, I dont see much virtue in fining people for not signing up for it. Am I going to start getting fined for not getting a flu shot?

The costs incurred by uninsured people get passed down to everyone else. This drives up health care costs for everyone that is paying for it.
