I don't think people, specially the "both sides" crowd, recognize what this means for civil rights. We're going to go from an Obama Department Of Justice that defended the limping body of the VRA for 8 years...to a Trump Department of Justice, run by Rudy Gulianni. We're going to have an Attorney General who has advocated for nation wide stop and frisk. A Department Of Justice that won't be interested in hate crime violations - in fact, one that might not even believe in hate crimes (outside of police shootings, of course).

All those "little" things that aren't legislative in nature that this administration has defended for eight years? Gone. We're literally going from having defenders at the gates to barbarians in our midst.

You get sick, you go to the hospital and the government pays. But that party of old white men were NEVER gonna let that happen. Weird how all these nikkas in their 30s and 40s weren't out protesting, or attempting to hold the police forces accountable for the thousands of murders of Black people by police in the late 80s, 90s and 2000s
