The question is why should he be anything more? If you haven't figured out by now that in America you HAVE to learn to move in and out the white supremacy agenda in order to do anything that directly affects people of color, you don't really belong in the debate in the first place..........

In addition if nothing else has changed the pace of murders in Chicago's South Side why would anyone oppose the aspect of possible gentrification? I mean its not like the current situation is working. Outside of the aspect of more whites moving into the community, you also have more economic opportunity.

The con is alot of black families may be displaced, but the positive is that that gang culture is now uprooted and possibly forever disrupted. Cat's got to look at the bigger picture here..........

I'm glad somebody else mentioned this. I hate to say this, but people who pay full price, and own things tend to take better care of their property. I can ride around my neighborhood, and tell exactly who owns, and who is section 8 based on how they maintain their property.

The people who are low income need self supporting jobs, not working part time at a coffee shop, especially since that coffee shop doesn't want to hire them anyway. For all the talk about these factories supposedly coming back, they aren't opening in places where low income black people live.

That guy is just angry and wants his own agenda first. Anytime you do a project like that (size, people involved, magnitude) in any location, property values will increase. Just the simple fact Obama is who he is, where he placed the spot, people would have started to increase rent and property values.

Anytime i see angry being used in response to a grievance or disagreement, i see it as deflection..

Like when people say, "angry black man/woman"..

Gentrification....causes poverty...because if you are a people that constantly have to move...you gonna be poor....
