@tru_m.a.c @DEAD7 @FAH1223 This is why 98% of HL's best posters left. You cannot have any convo in here without people going off on these random tangents and not even reading the article/topic. nikka had multiple posts on an article that takes 10 minutes to read within 1:30 minutes of me posting it.

Hopefully people look past the 3 or 4 Napoleon clones arguing with each other and read the actual point of the article. Good luck HL.

...ok

This was among the biggest gripe that progressives have had for 8 years

As the Koch network and others on the right wing built up infrastructure in rust belt states and took over state houses, OFA was nowhere to be seen.

The President didn't need to be actively involved but the wheels should have been kept turning.

Another part of me thinks that the DNC has just been paid to lose

They're so bad brehs

Another genius.

Yes, lawd! The dems lost because they didn't have "infrastructure" when Trump barely had field offices in any of the battleground states.

This is what annoys me about ideological people from both sides of the aisle - rarely do their research and never can never apply context to their "facts".

Juan Roberto's bald spot
Democrats aint shyt, they ran their great white hope and got spanked by a reality tv star. Chuck Schumer :scust:
So Obama was supposed to manage the country during the Great Financial Crisis AND run his grassroots organization :gucci: what kinda magic negro did the Democrats think they were getting

...and Keith Ellison will not save them either, their best bet is to tell Soros to throw money at Deval Patrick, the better version of Obama :lolbron:

DNC thought Obama's gains were their gains and didn't bother do any work. November 2016 was a rude awakening for them. Also didn't help that they ran an unlikeable candidate who couldn't spell out why exactly she was running.

The GOP sucks but the DNC doesn't deserve any awards either.

Who said Obama was going to manage it on a day to day basis? Did he manage the DNC on a day to day basis while being the de facto leader of the party?

Y'all nikkas lucky I stepped down, my new year's resolution would have been to make nikka pass a critical reading and logic exam before posting in HL.

Thank God for that. :whew:

And aren't you responsible for foisting @tru_m.a.c on to the rest us? :martin:

I was a TA for logic for 2.5 years. :francis:

Nothing you posted countered anything that I said. For the record, despite both Hillary and Trump having shytty ground games, the GOP was playing catch up in terms of building infrastructure so to highlight the fact that they spent 8 years building it is an intellectually dishonest/misguided point. And even with that said, "infrastructure" was hardly the deciding factor. The other points this dude mentions were greater culprits.

And I can pretty much guarantee that if the Ds had run any other candidate who wasn't as divisive as the one they forcibly chose, both OH and FL wouldn't have been lost. They wouldn't have lost PA (a state that shytty ass John Kerry managed to win). They wouldn't have lost WI and they most certainly wouldn't have lost MI.

During the post-mortems, there were all these articles about how the Clinton campaign brushed off all warning signs and ignored frantic phone calls from people on the ground in supposedly 'safe states' and didn't even bother to run ads (much less appear in those states). But yes, please, blame OFA and Obama for the party's failures. A party, mind you, that has done nothing but fail for much of the past 50 years.

Also troubling that you completely disregarded the effect that gerrymandering had on this election and zeroed in on a bullshyt point like infrastructure.

Gerry mandering happened in 2010

Dems gave up on red states
