I think you are missing the bigger picture.


The Dems have been out of touch for years and I think the Hillary to Biden to Kamala transition is just indicative of that. The Dems didn't have the heart or the gumption to get Biden to wind or step down in 2022, they didn't have the wherewithal to run a contested convention in 2024 like Obama said they should, They keep trying to play to social media plays rather than run on good politics and things that effect the common man. People still don't have affordable housing and food and its been like that since Covid. Biden didn't do enough, Kamala didn't have a strategy to address it and nobody in Dem leadership had a clear plan. Obama one of the only Dems makign real sense out here.

Part of marketing is shytting on your comp when the opportunity presents itself and also showing fight when you're in a situation you can't win. You don't rally anyone by playing dead, especially at a time when playing dead is giving irreversible power to authoritarians.

Dems outside of the Democratic socialist wing and Buttijieg haven't done that, I say that as someone who thinks a lot of the demsoc's policies aren't actionable or sustainable. Over 50% of this current dem legislature shouldn't have a job going forward in my opinion.

"Things will go back to how they used to be" was essentially the message.

The problem is that things weren't great before. Democrats are supposed to be the party of the future while Republicans are regressive and don't want things to change.

They have completely shyt the bed on giving the public a compelling vision of the future. They can only talk about small changes instead of massive ones. Cynicism has poisoned that party and they won't know what to do if a candidate shows up who does all the shyt they're afraid to do and the public reacts positively to them.
