Yeah, I wish we could have gotten someone for him. It was time though. Best for both parties just to move on in a different directions. Rockets got a gem if he can keep that drinking under control.

Of course the ATL
@AVXL look breh. Your squad will be good but to say they will be in the top three I don't see it. You still lack in size even with splitter. Whose the back up front court? Muscula or whatever that dudes name is. You don't have a good wing. Say JR does play well in buds system, he still doesn't play any defense. Meanwhile, Miami is beefed up. They got a a massive front court and a lot of athletes. I honestly don't think they even need wade for 60+ The Wizards look good also. I like the addition of Dudley, a solid three and D guy. Only thing holding them back is the lack of a stretch four and witless. Cavs still the cabs even without Kyrie. Like I said, Hawks are with the Bulls as middle of the playoff pack teams. Really didn't do much to me

Let's talk Hawks first: the Hawks won 60 games last yr, were the 1 seed and bring roughly the same team back with the addition of Tiago Splitter and THJR to go with Dennis Schroeder (who could start in this league) off the bench. How can you not see us as the 1 seed when we were that just a season ago? Our backup front court is Splitter, Mike Scott & Mike Muscala. We added Edy Tavares (who is 7'3 but raw) as added depth as well. If you're unfamiliar with those names, those guys were big contributors for our 60 win team last yr and Muscala got better down the stretch

Not sure where the Miami hype is coming from, as I said earlier who really trusts a Deng/Wade/Bosh core to stay healthy and then even with them healthy last yr they still weren't very good. The Heat are deeper, yes, but I think you're reading names like Amare & Gerald Green and you're like :gladbron: but I'm not convinced they'll collectively be much better than they were last yr. My biggest concern is about Miami's shooting and defense...they'll be lucky to win 45 IMO

WAS is the same team they were last yr...losing Pierce is a bigger loss than they'll admit, he took all of their big shots last season and gave them an edge, not sure who will replace that now.

Cavs will be very good come the playoffs...they'll be mediocre to start with all the injuries to Kyrie & Shump, but they'll pick it up come late Dec/Jan when Kyrie gets back

baby, that was the old me
I don't think u realize how good/ rare a 60 win plus team is

There's actually more chance that zero teams even have 60 wins

So for you to say Spurs are gonna win 66 is pretty outlandish. A team that lost in the first round is suddenly gonna be one of the greatest of all time?

@Gil Scott-Heroin was moving the goalpost on us like crazy. Ya'll gonna win 40 games and 8th seed, then maybe 50, then ya'll just healthy, then 60 but ya'll not getting out of the 2nd round, then well ya'll losing to CLE which did happen. Gil just moves the goalpost on us. It is what it is.

Like has already been said you personally moved the goalpost on us ALL of last season...I remember having this conversation with you last yr during the 19 game winning streak & you were speechless...you had to give us credit b/c everything you said made no sense. Your credibility on talking about us is on zero and you kno that/

Right! Breh is full of shyt but whatever. On SOHH they were mad there weren't any Hawks fans, now they say were too hype/delusional. Looks like we gotta make em mad all over again :manny:

Are both of yall muh'fukkas gonna provide evidence of me moving the goalposts in this "Ya'll gonna win 40 games and 8th seed, then maybe 50, then ya'll just healthy, then 60 but ya'll not getting out of the 2nd round, then well ya'll losing to CLE" manner or what? Or are you gonna continue to be full of shyt and lie? Because the evidence is right here on what I said -

Funny @AVXL how you never showed your face in there after all the shyt you was talking. :francis:

Funny @AVXL how you never showed your face in there after all the shyt you was talking. :francis:

I posted all through the Hawks thread and game threads. Why I gotta respond to every thread I get @AVXL in?

But as for your bullshyt:

:dwillhuh:

Who cares if they have higher ceilings if we have a better team than Washington?

That's arguable. Yall probably have the stronger/deeper bench, but the Wizards have the near-perfect starting makeup. Star players, shooting, playmakers, veterans, low post scoring and defense.

:mjlol:

There's no debate that yall have performed better up to this point, but that doesn't automatically mean that by the time the end of the regular season rolls around, that'll still be the case. The Wizards are much better equipped to handle the playoffs than yall are. Can we at the VERY least wait until the end of the regular season before yall start crownin this team as eastern conference champs?

Oh really? How'd that prediction go? :sas2:

How did the argument change from the Hawks are a legit contender, to the Hawks better make the finals?

:lupe:

Because it's easier to move the goalposts & redefine the argument than it is to give us respect. I'm still laughing at anybody thinking the Cavs are a legit contender for anything other than a first round exit

And that @Gil Scott-Heroin dude is funny...he has no problem projecting how the Cavs, Bulls, Wiz will do in the playoffs but when you mention us " it's only been half the season, we need more time". FOH :camby:

:ohhh: Goalposts being...moved?

I'll be :sas2: when the Hawks flop in the playoffs

The irony :mjlol:

@Gil Scott-Heroin you was sloppy as fukk in that whole thread :scust:

So I read through this thread and no one picks the Nets to make the playoffs and one person picks the Mavs to make the playoffs. The Celtics own both of their picks this year but let the Coli tell it those picks have little value.

Makes sense :ehh:

Right, @AVXL, let's breakdown what you quoted:

You said - Who cares if they have higher ceilings if we have a better team than Washington?
I said - That's arguable. Yall probably have the stronger/deeper bench, but the Wizards have the near-perfect starting makeup. Star players, shooting, playmakers, veterans, low post scoring and defense.

I would like to know what's funny with this statement and how is this me moving the goalposts? I said it's arguable that your team is better - I wasn't laughing at the prospect of the Hawks being the better team - just that it was arguable. Why did you quote this? It doesn't prove a thing. The Wizards did have the better starting lineup - problem was their best player was injured for the entire series. How would your team have dealt with your best player being out/injured for the entire series?

I said - There's no debate that yall have performed better up to this point, but that doesn't automatically mean that by the time the end of the regular season rolls around, that'll still be the case. The Wizards are much better equipped to handle the playoffs than yall are. Can we at the VERY least wait until the end of the regular season before yall start crownin this team as eastern conference champs?

Again, how am I moving the goalposts? The Wizards were better equipped to handle the playoffs - because they had something that yall didn't - a legitimate star player. Again, as above - if Horford was injured for that entire series and Wall was healthy - the Wizards would've won that series.

Stone said - How did the argument change from the Hawks are a legit contender, to the Hawks better make the finals?

See now, this is where your selective quoting gets you into trouble - if you had read properly, you would see how a good portion (you're included in this) of Hawks fans were laughing at the thought of either the Cavs, Bulls or Wizards beating yall.

You said - Because it's easier to move the goalposts & redefine the argument than it is to give us respect.

FOH

Again, this is clearly a case of you not reading properly. There was no moving of goalposts, at all. I'd like you to show where I did move them. Because as far as I can see all the posts that you've quoted from me are what I've said about the makeup of other teams in the Eastern conference. At no point did I put a record marker on your team - which is why I fail to see how you came up the conclusion I was changing my projections on how your team would fare in the playoffs.
