Oddisee is dope. His raps have gotten nicer too. But I just don’t like how every song he does now is smooth. His beats used to be bangin. I understand the live instrumentation but dude had some hard shyt at one time. I respect his growth as an artist though.

A lot of black artists as they get older (not just rappers) seem to gravitate more to a jazzy sound in their work. I’ve noticed this with Common and Nas too. They’re production choices seem to gear towards that jazz tinted feel.

I respect the growth as an artist but his sound now isn’t what I was rocking with him for. Common is borderline trash now IMO. I fukk with Black Milk if he is producing for someone else but his albums are way too soft now.
