LOL
She doesn't like Black individuals getting money because she things whites should give blacks money.
I don't think that's her point at all... and I believe her reparations argument is more accurately framed as 'the state owes blacks redress'. Which it does.

Her argument is whites need to give black DoS money, whites have said no, so what are you going to do? Keep begging whites for money while constantly shytting on black individuals who are going out and earning money?
That she can't even be happy for a fellow black DoS for doing financially well, not because she gets something out of it, but because she is happy for that person, should tell you all you need to know about her. IMHO.

I agree with her that the state owes blacks redress... and I believe it’s an issue that needs to keep being pushed. Socialism was in the same nonstarter boat and a consistent push has it on the table...
:manny:

I(as a black man) can’t oppose or allow redress to be dismissed.

I think she herself or maybe her delivery simply rubs people the wrong way... but she isn’t wrong.

I agree the state does owe us black americans, the state has shown they they will not repay us and actively shytting on methods of self-imporovement as she does isn't the answer. IMHO.
Building your whole program on white acceptance and white validatation and ultimately white charity or white awakening is a failure if the principle is black empowerment. I think she confuses the two.
That said its cool to actually have a conversation with a person and disagree on an intellectual level while keeping it cordial.

This. At least mention wtf Odell Beckham has to do with anything.

she blacked out :wow:

No shade but I can't help but notice the youtube comments are always some variation of this post without ever providing detail about what she "blacked out" on.

"Yvette does it again :lawd:"

"She did that :whew:"

"Yvette was on fire tonight :wow:"

"So on point :whoo:"

Them shyts are almost 3 hours, which part are y'all talking about?! Lol

:what: But that's not what she does. She encourages her listeners to find creative ways to meet their individual needs, she just doesn't go deep into it bc that's not her lane. Her lane is politics and the state of the collective. She uses examples of these apparently rich one-offs to show that the only reason they exist is to distract AA's from collective solutions. (Tonetalk's "the decadent veil")
The state has shown they will not repay us? When? When did we collectively organize a pro-reparations campaign? :jbhmm:

We'll have to agree to disagree, because she always shyts on black economic independence.
She says its worthless because it does nothing, she even had a show where the destruction of Black Wallstreet was supposed to show how black economic independence is futile and worthless.
She attacks modern day promoters of the idea of black economic independence as well.
Rich inidividuals don't distract from political solutions though, economic success has nothing to do with political strategy, since they can be seperated for the most part.
Legal egalitarianism for blacks can happen independent of economic philosophy, ie you can be a any type of flavor of economic socialist or a free marketer and have no conflict arguing that blacks should have the full protection and equal treatment under the law as everyone else.

As for your question, blacks have been asking for reparations since we were "freed" from slavery. White americans said no, they will not give us anything. They gave the slave masters reparations but not the slaves. They gave reparations to Japanese Americans but not to black americans. They gave reparations to native americans, they gave us none. They gave reperations to Mexico for the land they took, equivalent of 420 million today, they gave us nothing. They even give money today to Israel for the holocaust, something the US didn't even participate in, yet they refuse to give us anything. White America or better yet, non Black American DoS does not want black americans to be made whole. They have actively argued against this. There was a bigger push for reperations in the 90s, and the response from dems and republicans was the same, with some even saying if anything blacks should be thankful they were made slaves in the US. Let that sink in.

Hell the African immigrant's child who became president even increased reperations for european holocaust "survivors" to help those who are poor in the US, but rejected support for black americans.
So yeah America has said no and showed they don't even view us as people worthy to have to be apologized to. Hell they get mad when they have to explain why they kill us unarmed in the street.
You have your answer from them.

Blacks have to get it on their own, this is known. I could go into detail, but it's really obvious why this is. Get it by any means as long as you don't sellout.

Has she provided a list of progressive candidates her followers should be voting for in the midterms?
