Of all rappers who got their start in a group, who has the best solo discography?

You got me there, but technically, he wasn't started out in a rap group. They started a rap group without Pac. He was more like a guest feature for them with 3 songs, but he was a backup dancer for Digital Underground, which is why they listed him as a past member.
:comeon:

My dude. You just learned today that Pac was on more then just one Digital Underground song. with all due respect but that alone tells me you more then likely was not around or wasn't paying attention to that relationship back in the day.

There was no way of separating Pac from Digital Underground back in 1991. He had Shock G in his first video Trapped. Shock G was a superstar (well Humpty was the actual superstar)so he was the one who stood out in this video. Its literally Shock G on the hook of Pacs first single. When I first saw this video on Yo MTV raps I said "Oh Thats dude from Digital Underground." Wasn't no "Oh he's just the back up dancer" stuff you trying to make up and freestyle about now.

He was in the group when he blew up. Which is why he left the group.

He started as lil J, but was already known as Jeezy before boyz in the hood album came out. The song Trap or Die came out in 2003. He and others explained that the group was never going to be a permanent thing, it was for promotion. He was always a solo artist.

But he was a solo artist before he was in the group. The group blew him up which made him go back the solo route. He was going by Lil J and he sounded like Trick Daddy.
