theres always a distinct lifelessness in AI photos. AI doesnt understand stylistic angles and most instathots are employing some sort of creative choice in how their photos are rendered. That stock, headshot style with a empty/blurred background plus the shiny-ness of the skin is how I know its AI.

i think theres also a really cool litmus tests of how our brains work when trying to decipher AI created content. For example, how the light reflects off of the figure in the AI drawings skin is always the first tell for me. And i wonder *why* my brain fixates on unnatural light sources in photography.

to be fair, this photography ai shyt took a gigantic leap overnight. So it's not really outlandish to say "imagine in 2 years...."

just like phone technology, there's a big jump from dumb phone to smart phone, but it's iterative since, an iPhone 6 can serve you just as well as a 14
