Truthfully, we don't give a fukk about that shyt in the Chi. A lot of people (mostly white) root for Notre Dame. I'm not gonna lie though, I did like them growing up. nikkas fukk with DePaul basketball a little when they have a star (I used to fukk with them when they had Quentin Richardson cause he from the city) but not really, same with Illinois.

Chicago is not a college sports town at all, and there is no main team that people root for.

Yeah, when Northwestern went to the Rose bowl back in like 95, the city was riding for them, but other than that

From what I gathered, and speaking for myself, we tend to root for schools that's our Alma Mater. However, it's no doubt in my mind that if a college team started to garner some serious buzz, that some people will jump on said team's bandwagon and ride the wave. I seen it first hand when NIU was in the Orange Bowl a few years ago....
