I think all Police officers are armed no matter where they are. From what I recall, it is a requirement.

It’s also a requirement not to have a firearm on them if they are drinking. Some cities not even in a place that serves alcohol whether they drink or not.

It’s not a requirement to be armed off duty but they want them to be.
