@Listen @Bernie Madoff @VMR

Don't know who the other Boston heads are off the top of my head;

ANYWAYS;

Do you want to continue a rebuild? Add veterans and attempt to knock off the Heat? Combination of both?

Who would you target? Love? Melo? Lance? Asik? Parsons?

Who needs to go? Rondo? Green? Bass? Wallace? (please)

Who would you rather keep between Sullinger and Olynyk?

Do we resign Avery Bradley? Kris Humphries?

Who do we target with the 6th and 17th pick?

Depends on what deals Ainge can make.

Who would you target? Love? Melo? Lance? Asik? Chandler? Parsons?

Love for sure is a no brainer. The pick and roll with those two would be dangerous. Each players value to the celtics would depend on what deals Ainge made.

Who needs to go? Rondo? Green? Bass? Wallace? (please)

Wallace obviously, but his value won't be realized until next season, when the expiring contract becomes a trading chip.

I've went from a Rondo fan, transitioned to someone critical of Rondo, now once again find myself a fan. That free throw percentage is really tough to accept from a player who will dominate the ball.

Was a Green Stan going into this season, and while he showed glimpses of his potential,consistency is what makes stars In the NBA, and Green just doesn't have it. Why must he lose the ball on so many drives?!

Bass is a solid role 20 mpg roleplayer, his contract is spot on- keeper

Who would you rather keep between

Sullinger and Olynyk?
Olynyk. Give me shooters! Sullinger reminds me of another player I at one time loathed, Big Baby.

Do we resign Avery Bradley? Kris Humphries?
Both if the price is low enough. Bradley is too small to play the Tony Allen role. Most of the scoring in the NBA comes from the 2 and 3 spots, Bradley really can't guard 6'7 scores imo.
Humphries is a solid big for a couple mill.

Who do we target with the 6th and 17th pick?
I like Smart, Napier, Fair
Draft is overrated imo.

It's hard to say much because we don't know what Ainge is going to do..
And I'm a providence head, never really liked the city of Boston. :hmm:

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
I'm not a Celtics fan (:whoa:) but moved to Boston a few months ago so I'll be following the team closely.

I look forward to seeing a better product on the floor this year.

I don't think Ainge has the patience for a rebuild. He's going to try and make enough moves to make them into a contender.

We're not getting rid of Wallace. No chance someone would take him.

With that said, and Rondo's volatility, I think Ainge is trying to contend ASAP. We're going to be stuck with Gerald's contract and another losing season could make Rondo force a trade, which would get us pennies on the dollar. Stevens also needs a winning season quick to establish his credibility as an NBA coach. There are too many reasons to contend right now...plus the East is ripe for the picking.

I dont want Chandler (too expensive+injuries)...and I would absolutely hate picking up Asik. I think he's a bum. :yeshrug: I mean, I use that term loosely...he is a decent player..I just think he's extremely overrated right now.

I really want Kevin Love. I hope you didnt jinx it with the thread title. :upsetfavre:

Melo...Idk. I think we could manage without him, but Im not opposed to bringing him in at all. Could obviously do a lot worse. It'd be interesting to see what type of offense we would run though.

I like Parsons but I dont think Id throw an offer out there so large that Houston wouldnt match.

Im a fan of Jeff Green...I want to hold onto him, but pretty much everything is on the table for Love. Im perfectly fine with trading Olynyk for nearly anything right now..and Sullinger in the right deal. I don't think Olynyk's stock is going to rise much higher and I dont have faith in him at all as a big scorer (which is what we'd have to hope for since he's trash on defense). I'd let Humphries walk and would be hesitant to re-sign Avery if someone throws stupid money at him. I'd rather try to pick up Lance if they we were near the same price...but thats something I waffle on.

How about Pierce for the cheaps if we get Love? :whistle: He'd probably come for under 4 million. Wouldnt mind Caron Butler either. For a defensive big, Okafor, I think, is on the market. Fitting him in somehow would be a good look (provided that we try to contend).

If we go 10-72 but get rid of Wallace I'll be happy :russ:

I'm not setting any expectations yet. Let's see what draft day has in store and work from there. It's gonna take a lot of big moves to get back to the top. I just can't see them adding enough of the right pieces to do anything next year.

These next few months will be interesting to see what happens. I don't know if we should trade for Love and then have him burn us. Maybe we should keep our picks and then try to get him in free agency next year. I'm hoping the Sixers make the playoffs next year, that way we'll have 3 first round picks in 2015. If the Clippers some how screw the pooch and have a mediocre season next year :banderas:. Nets can win next year and suck it from 2016-18.

2014 #6 and #17 picks
2015 possibly 3 first rounders
2016 ours and Nets pick
2017 option to swap picks with Nets
2018 ours and Nets pick

We also got that 10 mil trade exception to play with.

They said that before the Ray trade and even after the KG trade. Ainge made it happen with Posey/House/PJ Brown. Bench depth is the least of my concerns.

We have cap space, a huge trade exception and picks. It can and will happen.

But no, itd be a miracle to not have Wallace..but honestly..him off the bench in that Posey role isnt so bad..just try to forget his contract.
