I don't know how you trade a guy who is a top 3 player in the league, has won every major trophy, is only 26 years old, and obviously doesn't want to go anywhere else and was willing to take a hometown discount.

BTW Montreal FD up Bad, should have caved to pks subbans demands. Now they gonna have to pay like 8 mill a yeqr for his services

Gionta and Markov are all coming off the books next summer. Kaberle would be coming off the books too that same summer, but will likely get bought out this year. Getting PK signed won't be a problem once his bridge deal ends. Now that he has proven himself to be an elite dman, Bergevin will happily give him an 8 year/$7 mill deal.

Sorry, no PK Subban in Toronto for you. But you can still draft Jordan though :youngsabo:

because of the hard cap, two players taking up 30% of your cap, shoddy goaltending, shoddy defense, cant fill the rest of the lines, letang is going to want 7-8 mill no money for that going to have to trade him like you did for jordan staal and get sback some fringe players

its like the old ottawa teams, when they had hossa, spezza, alfredsson, redden, chara, havlat etc.

they got to a point where they had to decide who to keep. what if the cap falls to 50 mill?
