Ive never said that
qb position being irreplaceable is a dumb myth, especially in this era when nearly any young qb coming into a good situation (good D, decent offense) can put up 20+ TDs like its nothing.

Well nobody irreplaceable but is the process of replacement optimal for the team? Usually the answer is no.

the process of replacement is more often good than not provided the team is good.
but that doesnt really pertain to backups playing and you saying the starters more than deserve big bucks. somewhere the logic was lost there. guys like brady and rodgers and rivers and kaep and so on...were backups too at some point, and also looked weak as backups in preseason
Those guys minus Brady were drafted to be the guy. I'm talking the Scott Tolziens of the league.
