Reading the issues in the hotels and around the city is hilarious...The story about the semen filled sheets left on an ESPN reporters bed
WSJ reporter finding a stray dog in the hotel elevator and opening his door and seeing construction workers sleeping in his room....The debauchery has already taken over this entire event...

and how could visitors not be thinking about terrorism...security sounds anything but tight over there...Media folk driving cars around the city with no accreditation and not being asked for it

Sounds like you've paid no attention to this at all. There's nothing petty about forcing people to move, spending $51 billion on an Olympics when the most expensive for any Olympics was $8 billion. The issues with homosexuality. Contractors not getting paid and being told to fukk off. Many facilities not ready. Not enough snow(place should have never been picked in the first place). The fact that Russia itself has said there are missing sleepers in the city, that here is a great chance that some of the construction workers might have been Chechen rebels and they have been having state departments issue warnings to airline passengers to watch for tubes of toothpaste being used as bomb ingredients. Nobody is talking about 5-star accomodations. These games should have never been awarded if they can't deliver on the accomodations and venues they bribed the IOC on fulfilling. Sleep on that if you want, brehs, but I don't think its that funny. This is not some indictment on the so-called "third world". The games are hard to run for any nation. But this is supposed to be a safe, first class event, not a chance for developing nations to say me too, look how rich we are, which is what its turning into instead of a celebration of the world and the games. No one or no continent 'deserves' to have a chance to do it. You either can or you can't. They are getting the evil eye because $51 billion tells you that something is wrong if the crazily oppulent Chinese summer olympics was $8 billion.

95% of the rooms are fine, every olympics/fifa world there is a rush to get things done and reporters chime and complain. People have always moved for olympics/world cups, hell even in first world nations some poeple have to move when a new subway/highway is being built. The 51 billion spent 9 billion of that was for a highway, billions other is for security, of course the games would be expensive inflation, russia construction is corrupt, sochi is in the middle of nowhere and is a warm climate.

1. the airport
2. the one road with checkpoints
3. from the mountains (that has 9,000 special forces scattered around 24/7)

I could care less about the homosexual agenda. 1. homosexual is frowned upn and outlawed in many nations. It's not outlawed in russia its just promoting homosexuality to minors is. Secondly the media is all on this homosexual agenda, while refusing to bring up that your more likely to be harmed being a minority/gypsy than a homosexual, that russia has the most skinheads in the world etc.

at the end of this you'll hear how this was a great olympics, athletes had a blast etc.

In all honesty sochi is probably the most safest place on earth at the moment. There is 40,000 security forces in and around hte city. The city is locked down with only 3 ways of getting in, I don't think people realize how powerful putin is, DUDE SHUT DOWN A ROAD LEADING INTO SOCHI, dude has 40,000 security troops which is bigger than many countries army around the city.

I'd be more scared of teh olympics in brazil than sochi

people talk about chechyna, chechyna is a 12 hour drive from sochi, this is like living in san antonio and being scared of whats happening in mexcio 12 hours away
