All we heard coming in to this game was how USA's offence was so great and they were just racking up goals like nothing..but now that they faced a superior team(all around) then they didn't have the offence?

After the 1st 5 minutes Canada was playing some late 90's circa NJ Devils Hockey. shyt was disgusting.

That being said the reason we all thought we would lose was the exact reason we lost.
Scoring.... not enough of it.
Against competition on or close to our level (including Russia) we could not score 5 on 5.
Canada will win against Sweden. No Zetterberg, no medal. USA chocked again.
Pretty much this. I was disgusted with out play from halfway through the first period. You could see that they had a better understanding and composure. Their passes connected and they were always first to the loose puck. You can tell they had a stick in their hand and a pair of skates on from basically the womb while our players probably started later in some weak rec league. Respect to Canada for their hockey domination and good luck in the gold medal game. No backhanded comments coming from me.Canada's better than us in hockey. I dont feel any type of way![]()

I know, but even before the tournament the roster they selected was criticized and today you saw why that became the case. USA didn't enough offensive players to just give Canada any trouble, Canada defense was outstanding, I'm just disappointing that USA didn't push the game harder on them
Did hamhuis even play?
I really don't see what's so bad about having subban out there just for a pp slot

But US just does not have that many offensive players.
Jeff Carter and Jamie Benn started this tourney on the 4th line. Subban is not even playing. The talent is nowhere near the level of Canada's. No team is close. Russia maybe but they don't play like a team. Canada should win and anything less than a gold is a failure since they are the best team (by a large margin) on paper.
ness of Dustin Brown and Brooks Orpik.
