Its cool for what it is I guess, but its not doing it for me personally

Maybe its just not a great stand alone track

Feels like a big departure from the music I came to know/love from Kevin Parker but Im still hugely optimistic about this album

but you CANNOT tell me this new turn stands up to tracks like this:

In my opinion, the band San Fermin's debut album was one of the most underrated albums of the last 5 years. Their follow up just leaked, I am downloading now.

The debut sounded like a cross between Dirty Projectors, Sufjan Stevens, and The National

I have no clue what the new album sounds like, it has received absolutely zero press

Its one thing not to be that into it, but to say its wack as fukk is

Its not some crazy new polarizing sound, its basic songwriting with minimal production. Saying its wack shows absolutely zero regard for lyrics and melody, the heart of all vocal music

Its like a Hip Hop fan calling Dah Shinin wack.

Minimal can be done and be dope as shyt, just look at the XX first album. shyt is damn near classic. I can give a rat ass about lyrics if everything around it is boring me to tears, like say bob dylan. I'd rather take someone screaming gibberish amidst amazing music than some nikka moping over sparse casio keyboards and strings. nope. Only song on here that made me go was that fourth of july joint. that was I must admit. everything else tho? just music for hipsters to slurp and fool themselves into sadness lol.

Then agian I think most of these "singer/songwriters" are pure trash and don't ever get the hype so thats just me maybe

Maybe wack was too strong but I'll never spin this again and on first listen nothing more than elevator music 4/10.

Ehh for the most part I can vibe with most of the stuff here but jfc that album was the most offensive thing in music. boring. I never caught that singer/songwriter wave tho as most of em are hacks imo...
