I gave Grimes new one another fair shake and I like it. I don't love it though. I think she took a step forward musically and a step backwards in her songwriting. I wasn't gaga over her last album but it had some classic melodies on it. This new one has zero.

Big fan of Kill vs. Maim. That hook is hype

I think its worth a solid 7/10

There's a lot of shyt that came out this year that I have to go back a revisit. Think I might spend the next few weeks doing just that.

every time i hear about joanna newsom i can only think about the fact that she's married to andy samberg lol

thoughts on the new grimes:
-i don't like that she added guitars to the music because the older i get i want less guitars and more synths but i'm also musically stupid and never paid much attention to the guitars anyways
-the best songs are really good (flesh without blood, kill v maim, realiti), then there are some okay songs that just aren't memorable at all

definitely interested in seeing where she goes on from here, maybe she just needs to black out her room, do a lot of amphetamines and spend three weeks making an album again
