What's the point of owning a 4K right now? I've seen a lot of deals out there but the only thing that shows 4K is some Netflix programming. Is there any word on when it's actually going to take off? Also, not a good idea to buy first gen 4Ks

Upconverting tech is amazing right now, especially from Samsung and Sony. It makes 1080p tv and games look so much better. It's worth it for that alone. The colors just make sure you get a 10-bit panel and HDMI 2.0 on all ports. I could never go back to 1080p now. You'll be very surprised at how much better X1, Wii U and PS4 games look upconverted to 4K. Even 720p tv shows look so much better upconverted.

Broke down and copped the Tomb Raider Xbox One bundle at Best Buy. Came with a free controller and was able to add a 3 month Live Gold account for like 8 bucks with my purchase.

Nothing amazing, but it's still better than me waiting to get one when it's full price again

Copped a black 6tb 7200rpm internal hdd and a 6tb WD external off amazon. Saved like $300 too

They only had like 6 of the 6tb blacks left too. I got lucky

anyway i just copped 2 books and spriggan on dvd

u can rent it for 14 days on windows store/app for 10cents...watching it now. But im guessing u want to own it

I love my 4K Samsung. Like I've said on these forums before if my TV didn't have the full One Connect box I wouldn't have bought it. My 4K TV upscales all my content to 4K and it looks crisp. It's also one of the best gaming TVs on the market.

The only major flaw with it is it's a curved TV but I no longer even notice the curve in it. If I was in the market for a new TV today I wouldn't be buying a 1080p set.
