BASE PRICE $525,000 (est)

Cant go wrong w/ either one, it really boils down to if you prefer the classic Land Rover Defender styling or the classic G Wagon styling.

On another note though, America will never compete with Europe when it comes to cars... or food, or women, or civil rights or basically anything else.

:wow:Must be hard being a 'Murican ouchea in 2015. Those L's are racking up every single day :whew::banderas:

:whoa: Some countries are fukking backwards on civil rights. And a lot of these women out chea don't got bodies at all. I'll give you food and cars though.

VW don't tease us with this concept. At least give us the 3ltr Turbo 6 only model.

This is a GTE model, so it features a sophisticated gasoline/electric hybrid drive system. It combines a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine that makes 295 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. If this was not enough, it’s supplemented by two electric motors for all-wheel-drive capability and total system output of 374 horsepower. A smaller 54 horsepower motor is integrated into the 6-speed DGS automatic transmission. The larger 144 horsepower motor drives the rear wheels when necessary.

The car is able to drive in all-electric mode for up to 32 miles. All the power propels the Sport Coupe to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds and can reach a top track speed of 155 mph

I've been looking at all the cars from the convention and now, I don't even feel excited about getting a CLC in a couple months. I need to get my money up so I can get a car on the level of the ones shown over the weekend :mjcry:

Kia Sportspace Concept :whoo:

The Kia Sportspace Concept might preview some design elements for the next-gen Optima, but for now the Korean brand is keeping the focus on this somewhat sporty looking wagon on display at the Geneva Motor Show. Its shape is designed specifically to appeal to European tastes, and the styling comes from the company's design studio Frankfurt, Germany.

Despite the European design ethos, there's no mistaking the Sportspace as anything but a Kia. Up front, it features a sharper version of the brand's familiar tiger-nose grille that runs horizontally to link the LED headlights. However, the major visual focus for the concept is the long roof and angled rear hatch. The designers even pitch the D-pillar forward for a slightly more sporty style.

The interior almost appears to come from a completely different model. The combination of black upholstery with carbon fiber trim and large pieces of anodized aluminum makes it look like a very dark place for a drive. Kia is apparently trying to appeal to the Sportspace's Swiss audience, though. The company touts that there's enough room to store a set of skis by fitting them between the rear seats.

Power for the Sportspace comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 247 horsepower that spins the front wheels, but the automaker doesn't specify anything about the transmission that it all routes through.

Looking at the current Optima, it isn't hard to see the future design evolving this way. Get a preview from this big, red wagon on the show floor of the Geneva show in our gallery, above.

For the longest time, the Audi R8 E-Tron seemed like such a fantasy, we never really though it'd come to fruition. But it's here, in second-generation R8 form. It's really, actually, finally here.

It looks like a electrified R8, too, with oversized, EV-spec wheels, and a revised front fascia that lends itself well to the more chiseled design of Audi's mid-engine coupe. Thanks to that nice shape and those air-slicing wheels, Audi has achieved a drag coefficient of 0.28 for the R8 E-Tron.

The 92-kWh, T-shaped battery is actually integrated into the center tunnel behind the passenger compartment, so it helps with the car's weight distribution and center of gravity. The two electric motors are mounted at the rear. As for the specs, things look awesome: 456 horsepower, 679 pound-feet of torque, 0-62 in 3.9 seconds, top speed of either 130 or 155 miles per hour, a range of 280 miles and a charging time of less than two hours.

And it's going on sale. Like, for real. Audi's press blast clearly states, "Upon customer request, the R8 E-Tron will be available for order in 2015 as an electrically powered sports car in supreme hand-built quality." Consider us stoked.

Introduced a few months ago in Dubai, the new Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf has since been confirmed for wider availability outside of the Middle East – including Europe, though sadly not North America – and is making its major show debut here in Geneva.

The Lagonda Taraf is based on familiar technology – built on Aston Martin's familiar VH platform and powered by the company's ubiquitous 6.0-liter V12 engine – but stretches longer than the more compact Rapide and with completely different styling than we've grown accustomed to seeing on modern Astons.

Only 200 examples will be made, priced at what is sure to be a substantial premium befitting its scarcity and the revival of a long-dormant nameplate. All of which means that this represents a rare opportunity to see the new Lagonda up close... at least until Aston cooks up the next model to wear the badge.
