Nah, this draft isn't that bad, there's some all-star level players and there are a lot of bigs that could be very good in a few years. This draft is extremely weak at PG and SF though, that is where the huge drop off is, between the first guy taken at PG/SF (Dunn/Ingram) and the guys after them that play the same spots

Jaylen Brown will be an all star at SF. Taurean Prince = Demarre Carroll.

There is a gap *right now* at PG but Baldwin and Jackson theoretically have high ceilings, if the decision making catches up.

I like this draft, it's not going to produce many superstars but there is talent, the gap at PG is where the biggest issue is.

Luwawu in the right situation could develop too, he plays for the same team Jokic played for, which has basically formed itself based around getting guys to the NBA.

Brown has a chance if he goes to a team that can properly develop him, but he just has no real basketball skills right now

I don't think it'll produce anyone better than Drummond, Davis, Lillard or Draymond, but it has a chance to have more depth and there are a couple all-stars that'll come out of it, there's just nobody on Davis level.

Oh i meant the Anthony Bennett draft

What are your thoughts on Simmons? Do u see him as a franchise changer or just a very good role player?

Espn was trying to push that he'd be #1 even next year when I say they'res about 5 or 6 guys in next years draft I can argue you could take over him

My dream scenario: Draft Simmons and Dunn, Move Okafor in the offseason for a guard.

PG: Dunn / Smith
SG: FA/Trade / Stauskas
SF: Covington / Grant
PF: Simmons / Saric
C: Embiid / Noel

The 2013 Lottery itself was bad, it's the fact that the best player from the draft was taken outside the lottery (Giannis) and the best players were all taken from outside the top 5 -

McCollum
Gobert
Schroder
KCP
Noel
Adams

I like Simmons but he needs a specific roster to have a big impact next year and a team may have to experiment with him at PF to get the best out of him. It all depends on where he goes and how they use him, having someone his size with the handle he has and putting him at the 4 could be extremely hard to deal with.

Where do Simmons and Ingram get picked if they were in last years draft???

Plumlee showed some good things this season and in the playoffs, but I don't feel he has a high ceiling and he's already older than these guys.

From the top 5, Oladipo has been solid and I think Len could be good if he can manage to stay healthy :manny:
