Not enough people been posting in the thread last year so I fell off myself. But I have still been tracking my top albums, I will post them in bit once I can get on my PC
I liked a lot of albums this year, but it is the first year maybe ever that I did not rate a single album a 9/10
I mean, there was some borderline stuff, but how can I call an album AOTY when it isn't even a 9?
2018 Album Of The Year
Tierra Whack "Whack World"
---I struggle to call a collection of 15 different 1 minute songs a real album. It all feels so incomplete and makes me crave more. But I can't deny that this is the most creative, addicting, catchy album released this year and if a full version of it were ever released it would be an easy 9/10 or better and an AOTY contender. So in a year with no real AOTY for me, I'm going to give it to this. I prefer listening to this on its own rather than watching the visual album that accompanied it. The visuals really distract from just how great the music is.
