I already have an Xbox Series X coming next month.
Is Best Buy protection necessary for this TV?
Does the LG CX have issues with burn in?
Edit: I wish I could get the RTX 3080 but I rather not pay a scalper $1,000 to $1,200 for it.

I have the 77 and my son left YouTube TV paused on there overnight and no issues at all. This is before I had screensavers configured...
also during the election I had the CNN ticker at the bottom of the screen literally for 2 days straight and it’s fine.

Nah I didn’t. Outside of burn in and physical damage I think the manufacturer warranty will cover most things.

the best deals are the ones for the CX and Vizio OLED
personally, if I could go back, I would have just gotten the Vizio OLED when I had the chance
VRR has problems on both OLEDs and it might not be fixable so the premium for the CX might not even be worth it
Vizio 55 inch OLED going for 900 but it sold out
55inch CX is going anywhere from 1300-1500 but apparently you might be able to get a cheaper than that from a place called Cleveland AV
So either order the CX when it goes back in stock either later today or tomorrow or see if the Vizio OLED for 900 comes back in stock
You're not going to get a high quality CX level OLED screen for 900 for a very long time after this
