Need to get him and Kloubacher outta here now..

As much as I like Elizabeth Warren she won’t beat Trump .

Biden is the one to beat him
I don't know...I feel like the smart choices are Bernie, Biden and Warren

Klobuchar....Yang...Booker...Steyer...all these people have ZERO chance of winning the presidency. Half the country doesn't even know who the fukk these people are and all they're doing is muddying up the waters and tearing down other candidates who actually have a chance of winning

right, but that was them trying to make shyt more seamless, efficient and transparent, changes in response to previous criticism. so yea, it failed due to a shytty app, but it's weird to blame them for trying something new as a response to previous issues people had with the process. new things struggle the first time around every day
Uhhhhhhh it’s wrong to blame them for not getting the app and making sure it was completely assured to work properly? In the middle of a legitimate fukking red scare with everyone losing their minds over RUSSIANS, we’re supposed to just overlook this incompetence because they meant well? Are you high?

This can and will be spun horribly. This is a bad look especially for the progressive candidates who want to expand government. The republicans can easily push a “why should we trust these people with anything” message and it wouldn’t be completely wrong.

This is a prime example of overcomplicating something for the sake of being "innovative". You're adding unnecessary complexity to a situation which in itself is likely to create more problems than it solves.

Counting votes, especially in a smaller situation such as a caucus, does not require a complex solution like an app. Hand counting would have been simpler and gotten the job done in these districts given the size of "voters" in each district. You're not counting literally 100 thousand or millions of votes. The votes are in the hundreds. Each district counts its votes and reports it on a centralized database would have been better if you're going through the technology route. You just need to have a simple form page for each district to input its votes and sql backend to handle a simple database with requisite security procedures of course. Its tried and true and implemented so widely the knowledge about the implementation is so common that you don't have to worry about your custom app having bugs or failing. Just hire a database administrator on contract instead of having a team of coders create a custom app. There problem solved.

or...just call in your votes to a centralized headquarters the old fashion way.
It's 2020 and America still can't count votes.

The DNC advocated for using the application instead of just calling it in over the phone like in the past.
Iowa already used an application in 2016. Y'all just making shyt up now.

Microsoft technology powers the 2016 Iowa caucuses - Microsoft Industry Blogs
Behind the Scenes: Making the 2016 Iowa Caucus App

One month ago today, Iowans gathered for the 2016 Caucuses and used new technology to record their results – a mobile app built specifically for the Iowa Republicans’ and Democrat’s unique processes. The use of this technology ushered in a new era for the caucuses.

These apps, which we created with our partner, //interknowlogy/ made recording results secure and accurate with a dual authentication process that ensured precinct captains were approved to submit results from precincts across the state. Validation apps for both state parties allowed staff at headquarters to quickly and efficiently authenticate results and then release them to public websites. On caucus night, both parties reported, validated, and published 95 percent of their precinct results by shortly after 11:00 PM central time—four hours after the caucuses began.

This use of technology was a marked change from the way Iowans had previously recorded results using touch-tone phones and paper ballots.

Honestly I get the sense that Pete was boosted by coastal liberals but they didn't realize him being gay would hurt him with actual moderates :mindblown:

Nah, y'all Bernie bros said this is the DNCs fault.

The DNC should give an update and make a statement to provide clarity.

But ultimately this rests on Iowans and their choice of voting Applications, the application dev, and how training was conducted.

Now get out ya feelings. Both of yall.
all that ranting about the unity commission ... for what?

They spent the last 3 years rightfully taking Trump to task for ignoring election vulnerabilities, now this happens...

They keep thinking that Obama meant that this country progressed

This is why progressives are brain dead to actual politics in this country. They want everything NOW without realizing that that has never happened in this country unless you are like the GOP and are willing to break the rules to accomplish your goals.

Wait til Ginsburg croaks...then they'll realize how important it was for Hillary Clinton to have won that election in 2016

Apps almost always never work right when they go live, even after q&a...it is what it is. Have you ever been part of an app build for a business, it's a shyt show, hands down one of the projects I hate working on most - finding bugs in apps is tricky because you don't know until you know.

Candidates perform better when they have tough primaries - historically. It’s better to get the oppo out early and those who can handle it tend to be better general election candidates. As a matter of fact, Dems have lost every election in the past 40 years when the gloves didn’t come off during the primary.
