Best player in a sport only getting $20 million is criminal. Honestly, I don't think he'll even get that much because of this garbage ass hard cap.

Depends on how much the cap will increase once the PA pays off the escrow from the pandemic (man BOG owns the PA, really crazy how that 04-05 lockout is a nexus point in a lot of ways). But likely not, NHL run like a 2nd tier spot and that mentality holds the league not just mainstream wise but financially

I’m still at him signing that long extension, but it worked out for him since the pandemic messed up whatever cap increases we’re gonna happen by now. Easily should get 20 million a year if the cap is at 100 million by then
