The production and lighting was god awful..

Ratings will be at an all time low due to Lack of star power.. I noticed this generation seriously lacks name and star power

No Beyoncé Drake, Cole, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Kendrick etc

They had Kanye and Diddy

Since when did TheColi see J. Cole as an A lister

Yea, we need to rethink this. At this point when I was a kid, award shows had a good mix of honoring and including 60s-80s stars with modern, no way we shouldn’t be pulling in Carl thomas, Jon b, donnell Jones, even someone like ciara and mixing shyt up. BET plays reruns all year, they should have enough budget leftover to lure big artists out to perform, and honestly, we need some level of decorum, I ain’t trying to be a prude but toning it down from 20 to 10 would help. Lastly, this new era lacks a lot of talent that makes seeing them on stage drag down shows, the rappers have no stage presence or breath control and the singers just can’t sing.

I thought Ella Mai did well, and even Latto (it was ratchet but it was done well)

I feel that if they didn't do the whole LGBT runway and replaced that with a legends segment like you said it might have worked out a little better
