Not to mention the 3 point contest isn’t based on creativity .

All these dunkers who are failing to entertain could do the same generic windmill dunks or between the leg flushes that would’ve brought the house down 20 years ago.

But nobody cares about that now, so they try to tack on all this extra stuff.

3pt contest at its core is simply a time-based competition of who can perform the simplest mechanic at an efficient rate.

Valid also. There's a lot of dunks from past contests that got 50s that would be considered boring if done today



My overall point was that I just don't think we have enough guys in the league with the ability & creativity to consistently have good dunk contests. You're relying on a handful of guys to save you and if they don't want to go then you're throwing shyt at the wall to see what sticks
