Progression and her work ethic. Also, Steph has known Sabrina for years now, since she was in college. She's a big fan of Steph (and vice versa).
She was always a decent shooter. In college, she had a 45.5% FG average and a 42.2% 3PT average. Also, in college, she is the only NCAA player with a career record of 2,000 points, 1,000 assists, and 1,000 rebounds.
Anyway, her rookie season in the WNBA ended after just three games due to an injury. Then, in her second year, she was just getting acclimated to the WNBA due to not getting enough experience in her rookie season. Last year (her third season), she played a lot better and finally became an All-Star.
This year, she has just continued to progress. Also, playing with Courtney Vandersloot has freed her up a bit. Sab has put in the work; she's a Kobe disciple, so she has that Mamba Mentality.
Adding Stewart and Jonquel didn't hurt. She got way more space to operate, then you add vandersloot, giving her even more opportunity to work without the ball like Curry.
