Morris called for veterans to retire to clear room for the younger generations after she was cut by the Connecticut Sun just weeks after being drafted in the 2023 WNBA Draft.

Morris' apology:

"To the veterans of the WNBA, please accept my sincerest apologies," Morris wrote on Instagram. "I never thought joining the W family would be easy, but now I understand just how hard it is to do that. My energy would have been better served directed toward league executives who have a say in expansion and other logistics. I look forward to celebrating your individual and collective careers and giving you all the flowers you deserve. I hope you can empathize and find it in your hearts to forgive me. I didn’t realize they were airing games on ION until a few days ago. Any TV exposure is better than non at all and they need all the revenue they can get.

yeah no doubt I agree, I hope the WNBA can get as much exposure as possible, it's funny what you said too, because the same thing happened to me, I was on wnba.com looking at the schedule and saw they're showing a lot of games on ION

I just wish they would get rid of WNBA League Pass and show those games on normal channels
