Hopefully Holmes taking notes. Pass rush ultimate trump card. Better go aggressively after Crosby and Garrett hard or sign Sweat in FA. Legit Pass rushers besides Hutch been ignored far too long
I don’t think that is his style. Probably not gonna happen.

Time to exhaust all options for Myles Garrett or Maxx Crosby. My opinion will change of Brad Holmes takes on the mentality of most fans and blame the injuries and that’s it. The defense wasn’t good enough regardless.

From week 1-13 we had the #2 run defense in the league, and a top 5 total DVOA. Most of that was without Hutch. Once Alim/Anzalone/Davis went down the defense imploded. What does the Eagles defense look like if they lost two of their three best LBs, Slay, Milton Williams, Sweat, etc? Let's be real.

This team has some clear holes that can be addressed without giving up the farm. This draft is deep at DT, especially in the first three rounds. And given all the talk of QBs, receivers, DBs etc rising into the first round...a DT is gonna fall to us or close enough to trade up for. And if not, someone will be there in the second and third rounds. Alim likely won't be healthy until November...it's imperative to find a 3 tech DT who can start.

Whether in free agency or the draft...it's imperative to find an actual edge rusher across from Hutch. Now that Glenn is gone I hope to god we're not 100% married to 280+ pound strong side ends who just stop the run (Paschall) anymore. Ironically the blueprint for what we need is Davenport, who was crushing OTs in the few snaps he got. Get me a guy like that who has a functional body, AND get me a smaller flamer thrower rusher for passing downs.

We had a fortunate schedule and we benefitted from Jordan Love playing injured all season. We can admit that now. Zdarius Smith is 33 and on a one year deal and not a difference maker and neither are the large amount of depth pieces in the draft unless we trade up for mason graham. What’s on the team as is isn’t good enough to go into Philly next January.
