Frank a tough dude but eventually you reach your limit. Getting out now is prob the difference between being able to walk in 10 years and needing a wheelchair, based on that inoperable toe situation. Not to mention him thugging it out with a partially torn pec last year.

The heavy IOL focus in the draft makes even more sense now. Ratledge has been getting reps at center; he didn't play it at Georgia but stated he was the backup center for the team, and got reps during practice. Glasgow could be the guy too. Sucks because I thought there was a good shot that Glasgow wouldn't start at all this season, with Mahogany and Ratledge taking the guard spots. Glasgow was a bottom 10 guard for the final weeks of the regular season and was terrible in the playoff game. Granted he was playing out of position all season (he's more of a RG, and Zeitler got that spot last season which shifted him to LG). It's a massive ask but man....if Ratledge aces center, Glasgow returns to form at RG and Mahogany looks as good as he looked late last season....that's gotta be the dream scenario right.

Training camp starts in a couple weeks, how we feeling.

My only concern is center/o-line. There are so many training wheels available to help a new center on this offense (good blocking TEs, good blocking RBs, elite YAC players on quick passes, etc) that I think we'll be fine overall. But I fear we could start slow in those first 4 games before the new center settles in. Can't really afford to lose a lot early with this schedule. Outside of that spot I do feel good about the line. Mahogany looked good last season, and I think Miles Fraizer can beat out Glasgow in camp for the other guard spot (assuming Ratledge is the center). That's a very young interior but all those dudes are dogs

I don't really have any concerns about having a new OC/DC. If anything I'm excited about a DC more focused on the d-line and LBs than the secondary.

A lot hinges on young guys taking another step. Terrion has to be significantly better. Jamo has to take another leap. Jack Campbell took a big leap last season and needs another (which shouldn't be hard with an improved interior d-line opening up gaps for him). If we get that and Hutch is healthy this team will be really good again.

We missed Barnes last year and looked good early on so hopefully he rebounds, and as you said Campbell took a leap last year and hope he contines to do the same, but I would've liked to see a high draft pick/money spent on the improving the linebackers. Never been an Azalone fan, and we see the back of his jersey alot because he chasing the play.

On paper Arnold and Reed are your outside guys, and Amik Robertson is your nickel but I like the signing of Maddox. Hopefully Rakestraw shows something and we have health this year.

I'm kinda a little bit worried about the Lions this season since we lost coaches like OC (Ben Johnson), DC( Aaron Glenn) and DL Coach(Terrell Williams), WR coach and TE coach bro. Clearly, the Lions ain't going be the same without them. Hopefully new coaches are good as previous coaches.

Levi out, ACL. His career is probably over at this point.

Paschal out until early September. So that's two d-linemen who are already hurt/recovering. Maybe Zadarius Smith doesn't want to sign for camp right now or maybe it's something else but they NEED bodies just in case.

Bridgewater being signed off the street and instantly being QB #2 last year should have been a sign they don’t believe in Hooker

Hard to be as excited this year since they didn't make any real additions to the team via free agency or trade. They're gonna be really good but it's hard to see them getting over the hump.

They added one of the best defense edges in the NFL in Hutch. :troll:

Cut this nikka

This does not sound like a Campbell and Holmes guy. I hope he kills it and stays healthy, but I haven't heard any player talk like this since this regime took over. This was the verbal version of:manny:
