Both of them were cut. So was Dan Skipper. Detroit should have traded Hooker when he still had some potential value.

Cutting Skipper must mean they have confidence in Manu to fill that backup role because skipper played alot of snaps for lions past few years
They probably could have got a very late round pick for him after his first year.

Skipper gonna be back in 2 days. I feel like they did this just a few years ago and Skip was strictly a practice squad guy anyway for years until recently. He just became a fan favorite after them incidents.

Paschal out through September, Ahmed dodged a season-ending injury but is probably out through September too, Nate Lynn (who had one of the highest pass rush win rates of the preseason) got waived...there has to be a move coming. If not Zadarius then someone who got waived/released this week. Hutch/Davenport/Mohammed is good but you KNOW Davenport is probably not playing 10 games. Might not even play 5. If he goes down while you're already missing multiple edge guys...what are we doing. And if Davenport proves us all wrong and plays most of the season guess what...Zadarius (or someone else) still makes sense lol.
The Lions went down to 50 players so more than likely one of those 3 spots is his.

Has to be him or someone else. We basically have three pass rushers on the roster right now. And it’s not like Paschal is gonna save us when he gets back. He’s more of a pure edge setter and when he does rush it’s from the interior.

Yeah, but him starting slow as rookie is possible. Injuries happen throughout the season,etc. If they're using the cap space to make a late signing I see why they made the trade but a sixth next year doesnt seem more valuable than Patrick this year.

Wild how we traded up for TeSlaa via the Jags, now trade his replacement to them. So do we sign Meeks or another receiver now, or roll with 5? TeSlaa will need a backup X-receiver right.
