Oddly enough, I think they're gonna beat Baltimore tonight. I can't explain why but it's my gut feeling.

Atleast it’s not season ending

Sounds similar to the injury Hassanein is dealing with. Glad he'll be back but further proof that he should not be playing starter snaps. Nobody bats an eye if he plays 10-15 snaps a game on an incentive based 1mil contract. Making him the starter throughout training camp was dumb, and there were multiple pass rushers available for similar money.

Great article on Campbell.

RIGHT AFTER THE Lions fired Patricia in December 2020, Wood convened a group of veteran players to address the move and ask them what they thought the organization needed.

Players voiced more general concerns about coaching staff accountability and the bad vibes around the building. They felt as if the whole organization needed a refresh from a new voice. When it was Stafford's turn, he told Wood, "I'd like to meet with you alone to discuss mine."

In Wood's office, Stafford said he wanted out. "I'd like to request a trade. If you trade me someplace where I can win a Super Bowl," he said, "within two to three years, you'll have enough draft capital to win a Super Bowl."

Nothing will ever make me hate on Stafford. Tough as nails and wanted to give us the assist on the way out the door. It's also one thing to think about a draft haul that gets you into contention. It's another to actually do it. The guys we got in that trade, and the guys outside of the trade...that's the foundation. Can't keep everyone but man, the ones we can keep should keep this team good as long as it takes.

I will admit I'm kind of coming more towards your view on this though. It would be nice to keep LaPorta and everyone but the real question should be....at the cost of leaving holes on the roster? Should edge just be a question mark where we throw guys who will take 1mil instead of 9+ mil? Do we rely on best player available to fill that hole, knowing that the best player may not be an edge in the first two rounds of the draft next year or the year after when we pick so late? If we want to play man coverage there has to be pass rush, or else it doesn't matter who the CBs are. Surtain would be getting burned on this team. And while I think Alim will be fine long term, everyone knows that players are truly 100% back during that first season after an ACL. We need a Plan B for pass rush.

Maybe I'm wrong and Muhammad keeps balling out. But even if that happens....next year when he's commanding 5+ mil in free agency what do we do lol. Let him go to re-sign everyone? It becomes a trap.

Yeah, they aren't going to be able to keep everybody and you have to take some big swings to win it all.

The Eagles make big moves: AJ Brown and Saquon.

Christian McCaffrey almost put Santa Clara over the top (likely would have with a better QB).

Derrick Henry has worked wonders for Baltimore.

The Rams brought in a bunch of guys when they won the Super Bowl.

The Bucs added more than just Brady when they won it all.

To have as much cap space available as they do makes me sick. If Holmes makes a big trade before the deadline (not his MO), I'll take it back.

Defense gave up 30 and yet looked impressive :russ:

7 sacks and a few more tackles at the line of scrimmage of Lamar. Bottled up Henry

Hank Fraley is a great coach. Oline improvement in such a short period of time is crazy

Shep mixes it up alot. Not dying with man to man like Glenn. Hutch is just elite. Monster in 4th qtr

Arnold still most glaring weakness on this team. I remember how bad Slay was first couple years so ill be patient in throwing around B word for a young cb

Yall gonna have to sit down for some uncomfortable conversations and difficult discussions about shep being better than glen.
We absolutely how that's the case. Hey a hot young defensive coordinator that we can hold on to for a few years.
