Holmes draft success rate is insane. Campbell was really underwhelming his first year and a half. He looks like a probowler this year.

Only real whiffs have been his projects Manu, Broderick Martin, Hooker. Rakestraw has never played so impossible to tell what he is. Probably too soon judge Manu.

Tyleik, Teslaa and Ratledge already look solid. Ratledge got potential to be elite. Love him next to Sewell. Lions window not closing anytime soon as long as Holmes is here

Ratledge looks so good at times that I genuinely wonder whether we should just draft a center and keep Ratledge at guard. That long Gibbs TD was 100% him and Penei destroying two defenders with perfect blocks.

Im out the loop where Rodrigo at? :dahell:

Recovering from a torn ACL last winter. Should be returning at some point in the next few weeks. Not sure how much playing time he'll have given how well Campbell/Barnes/Anzalone are playing so there's no rush. I'd imagine he'll be a starter next season though, given it's clear Anzalone isn't being re-signed. I'd imagine he's gonna get the bag to head to the Jets and reunite with AG.

You think AG will make it to next season with the Jets? He's gonna get fired. He's gonna be lucky to finish the season

I refuse to believe that the Jets pursued Glenn that hard only to abandon it after one season. And I'm sure Glenn gave a very honest assessment of the team/roster during his interviews, just like Campbell did about the Lions. Bad roster outside of a few great players (Sauce, Quinnen, Garrett), gotta get my guys in the building, gotta determine who can be trusted and who can't, etc. It's literally the same thing Campbell went through lol. At one point we didn't have a decent WR on the roster lol (St Brown turned it on in the second half of his rookie year). Glenn should be judged by how next year looks. Only negative I'd point out is he may have fukked up with his OC hire. I remember a lot of Lions fans wanting Engstrand to be the next Lions OC but it seems like we made the right choice (despite my concerns with Morton, can't really argue against the overall success so far).

Holmes was right, again. Granted I think Zeitler would have a much higher rating if he was still here next to Penei VS who he's lining up next to in Tennessee. Still a good example that drafting well saves you money. Ratledge looks so athletic, even next to a freak like Penei. Def needs to get better at pass pro, same with Mahogany. But so far both are looking great at run blocking.

Campbell said Decker will practice this week, just getting rest today.

This is like the opposite of last year. Getting guys back weekly instead of losing guys for the season weekly.

The defense really has a chance to be good if we get everyone back and start clicking. Never thought I'd see the day.

Curious how these other extensions work. RB, TE, safety and LB aren’t premium positions so their contracts wont be crazy. They got the most difficult ones out the way. Laporta would be the one I think they would let go. They didn’t want to pay Hockenson, might feel the same about Laporta. And they still have the franchise tag available if need be

Honestly given the massive TV deal the NFL is going to sign in a couple years, I think they're gonna pay just about everybody.

The thing that does make me take pause...barring some injury or massive change in play, Jack Campbell is gonna end up 1st Team All-Pro this year. I liked the draft pick at the time, thought he would be good, but didn't think we'd be having THIS convo in year three. And if that happens suddenly you're talking about an RB (Gibbs) and LB who will command top positional money.

Speaking of LBs I think they want to let Anzalone walk and roll with Rodrigo as the Will LB next year, assuming he plays well off injury.
