Jamo's a total pro.

Jamo out there blocking his ass off too, I'd be pissed. Deep shots not there due to protection? Then get him a fukking crossing route. I get that the offense has technically been successful but I still got big questions about Morton. Spent all summer saying oh yea Jamo can run all the routes now. Only sending him out on go balls with the occasional telegraphed screen pass lol.

Everything thinks we'll smoke the Vikings but man....Goff is clearly rattled behind those guards. He doesn't trust the protection and it results in a check down or bad pass. And the protection isn't even bad, mind you; overall pressure he's facing is similar to last year. Our offense stats are still good so people overlook it but man...how many bad 3 and outs have we had. How many times does the defense get a turnover at mid field and we don't even get a FG out of it. It's not just Jamo that's getting overlooked. Morton out there just spamming St Brown and Gibbs like it's Madden lol. And they're good enough for that to work in many cases but this isn't sustainable. I need to see more answers on the field for Goff. LaPorta is uncoverable by LBs....why isn't he the safety valve when St Brown is doubled. And why did we burn 3rd round picks for TeSlaa if he's not gonna looked at in progressions? He's clearly good so what's the issue.

Hutch contract numbers are officially out:

As expected it cuts his 2026 (5th year option) cap down, from 19mil to 10mil. 2027 and 2028 cap hits are modest as well. And by the time the big numbers start hitting in 2029, the NFL's new TV contract will have kicked in which will greatly increase every team's cap room. Plus void years to further spread things.

Lions can def keep most of their guys with these types of contract structures. Total 2026 cap was initially in the red but is now 12mil. Goff's cap is definitely getting restructured next year which can free up an additional 30mil+.

I'm glad we finally got a legit talent evaluator and capologist in tandem

  • Many teams, including the Rams, 49ers, Lions, Colts and Eagles, have called the Bengals on numerous players, including LB Logan Wilson, CB Cam Taylor-Britt and, of course, DE Trey Hendrickson. For now, some teams don’t believe Cincinnati has any real interest in moving its core pieces.
  • The Lions are looking for help at safety and defensive line.

I wonder if the Lions are in on Taylor-Britt alongside Hendrickson. I'd imagine the talk radio reaction would be "Lions aren't sold on Terrion" but to me it's moreso both starting CBs have missed multiple games with big injuries. If either Terrion or Reed can't make it to January you don't want to be left with just Amik as your next option. I like Amik, he's good, but moving him to the outside makes the slot/nickel a question mark.
