Nobody thought Giannis was going to be generational coming out of the draft. Not even after his 1st 3 seasons. He was raw as hell for a while. His athleticism wasn't even what it became by like Year 3. Flagg is way ahead of him at the same point. We've seen Flagg produce against the best players in the world. His all around game and mentality is undeniable. Just saying.

Agree with the assessment of attributes but he won’t have near the impact of Jokic. As much as Jokic is known for his facilitating, that only works because he’s a hyper efficient scorer when guarded one on one. I’m not sure Cooper is there yet.

Flagg will give you more in other areas though. Namely defence.

Fair. Then he will split the difference between Jokic and Josh Giddey. Plus also he will be glazed in the media because unlike either of those 2, Flagg is a white American. If he has that kind of production, he will get the Caitlin Clark stimulus in the media.

My comp for Flagg in the NBA would be a more mobile Jokic. No, he wont be the best athlete in the league, but he has good size, decent shooting, and very good passing for a 6-9 dude. Plus, he doesnt seem selfish, which would be very helpful for whatever team he is on, if they also have great shooters already. He seems to be a very good plug and play piece for any team in the NBA

Giannis was not a special athlete early on. I watched a ton of the Bucks games. He got way more explosive. There really wasn't anything really special that he did except that he had potential to be a really good all around player.

I'll comment on flagg later right now just watching the game. Flagg has a clear weakness his dribbling and potentially his shooting. He's definitely a talent that comes once every 4 to 5 years though. The last guy that had this impact before they turned a pro was Zion Williamson.
