Exactly so really he probably should’ve won more than one chip at Kentucky considering tubby took his team literally the next year and won. But I’m supposed to believe the guy who takes freshman consistently well used to consistently take freshman teams on sweet sixteen or better runs before he got disengaged isn’t just as good or better of a coach

Exactly that’s my whole point winning is hard with upperclassmen let alone a whole new group of freshman every year.

Literally every year he was there lmao you know you can check basketball reference right. Plus John stacked teams were freshman Rick won the championship with upper class men. It’s is much harder to coach freshman to a chip than upper classmen
Pitino only had stacked squad in 92-93 season and that all time team in 95-96.

He had a great system but it wasn’t ultra talented squads.
