matta is the better coach but he's washed now, he was struggling to recruit at ohio state in his latter years and now years later at butler can't compete in this NIL age

I'd like someone young and hungry. Ben Johnson could recruit and I like him as a coach but he is tied to Travis Steele who couldn't hack it here. Mack's name gonna be top of many lists cause he had a lot of success here (though he peaked before leaving; #2 seed in '16 and #1 seed in '18) and would likely come back if called. I'm 50/50 on him coming back though. I'm also seeing Luke Murray. He knows the school from being under Mack and got more experience with Hurley. I wouldn't mind him at all.

Matta. I always wonder how Xavier would've ended up if he stayed. I was a freshman his third and final year here. He'd lost David West to the league and they started 10-9 despite one of the best backcourts in the country. Them boys went on a helluva run (16-2) to the Elite 8 losing to Duke.

Matta, easily. Matta had a runner up year that he probably would've won it all if UF didn't have a juggernaut squad, and he went to the F4 again in 2012. He won 3 straight B1G titles at one point. Matta ran into health issues. He was a great coach, and and excellent recruiter in that 2006-2013 stretch
