He’s gone. Willard would sign the extension by now if he’s staying. Maryland has given him everything he could ask for.
He went to the sweet sixteen last year
lost two guys to the nba tyler kolek and Ighodaro. He's actually doing a great job esp in this Nil/Transfer days the top 3 scorers were all 4th year seniors who played all 4 years with marquette that's rare as hell in these times.
Let him go. Teams winning despite him. Everyone is just glassed over about being in the sweet 16. But, the school does need to put more money in basketball since that's a revenue sport they can and should be regular contenders.

So Nova is poaching a S16 coach, so they're after the guy just now going to his first S16?
There are two S16 coaches at lesser programs than Nova with Final Four experience.... so If you're going to throw a bag at one of the current S16 coaches, why not Chris Beard? No one's goal is to be at Ole Miss. Why not at least see if Dusty Will listen...his extension gives him $4.8M/year base, you don't think he'd hear you out for $6.5M?
