Key injuries had impacted that game, but Sampson was more concerned about free throws (they were 9-for-17 that night). Following the loss, he demanded that every player on the roster shoot 150 free throws per night, a practice that continued through Tuesday. And if the grad assistant in charge of tracking those shots failed to slip a piece of paper with the nightly tallies underneath Sampson's office door each day, he would have hell to pay. But it was on those evenings when Roberts -- who made clutch free throws late against Duke on Saturday -- prepared for the biggest moment of his career.

The women's tourney has been utter crap this year . While the men's have been lit.
Lack of star power this year across the board.

It's easy pickings for Auriemma and UConn this year. They beat South Carolina by double-digits today.

I feel that if the NBA was willing to work out with the NCAA, they should set a rule that if a player doesn't decide to forego college or play overseas and come in as a higher schooler, they should stay at least two years. To help with their development and build the college game in return. The lack of development for our American players has been a big talking point lately, and I think that is tied to the fall of the college game. Having this two-year rule will help it out IMO.

Like it would be awesome to see Flagg returning to duke with the vengeance while working on his game with the Boozer twins.
The fall off the American hooper is because of college ball.

Its an unecessary step.

The NBA should be teaching players how to to be NBA players as young hoopers. The amateur system is set up with college ball as the top of the pyramid.
