Brunson getting hurt now might be a blessing in disguise in that the team/coach can't rely on him bringing the ball down court and going 1v5 every tense possession. Other guys are going to have to step their game up, i.e. Mikal is going to have his hands on the ball more in the interim, not be sitting in the corner for 35 minutes a night, whether its coaching or estrogen levels.

Hopefully Kolek can get some burn & make a good impression. Not having a legit pass first ballhandler on this team hurts guys like him & KAT who could benefit from a traditional PG

And for real though.........people also need to realize just how trash our bench really is, in comparison to other top teams

:francis: He’s not wrong. Look at this shyt (Donte just shoots with no hesitation)

Donte and Mikal are different types of players though, and yes the Knicks need that instant 3pt shooting offense he used to provide.

But we’ve also seen what Bridges can do really well and I’m hoping that really comes to light over the next few weeks with Brunson out.

Way too much Brunson late last night and that last possession in the 4th was inexcusable from start to finish. We get it, Brunson is the clutch player of the year - this year and every year…but he has to realize getting the other scorers involved is just as key to the team’s success.

This is the time for Mikal to assert himself and KAT has to get back to the ball he was playing earlier this season asap.

Mikal’s running around chasing all the guards JB can’t cover and that could be part of the problem too. Thibs has work to do.

This. Can’t really defend Mikal but Donte can’t do the things Mikal has brought to the team either. We’re playing the same way we played last spring without the same personnel. KAT and Mikal are not IHart and Donte. We should be way more focused on how to get all these guys to fit into a system instead of how they can maximize Brunson.

Yet, you're in here, go sit on a dildo
I've been giving y'all free counseling for three years. Y'all thought y'all was on top and talked spicy about my team in the process.

Me being here is your fault.

Should've kept my team's name out your mouth. Now you gotta pay. You thought it was one way when it's the other way.

I still think a lot of this is on Thibs being too stuck in his ways and not being able to adapt to teams adapting to what they did earlier in the season with the 5 out offense.
This 100%.

I see a lot of "Jalen doesn't pass" claims and that's just not true. Brunson had 10 assists last night. He hits the open man when double-teams come, but the problem is that open man is Josh Hart 90% of the time. Hart doesn't like to shoot, and since his man can sit in the paint, the rest of the scorers aren't open. That's also why Hart's assist numbers can balloon. He gets the swing pass, and his dribble-drive pulls someone off of Mikal or OG for easy assist opportunities. But the plays always start with either Brunson or KAT bending the defense and making the best possible play, which is hitting Hart.

I really want to see Brunson/McBride/Mikal/OG/KAT in a smallish five-out lineup for an extended period.

The game might be passing thibs by or already has. Look at all the teams better seeded than us

Kenny Atkinson, cavs- slightly older coach but only a short 3yr stint as head coach of nets. First yr at cavs

Mazulla, celtics- young, only 2nd year head coach

Daigneault, okc- young, coaching okc for 5yrs

Redikk, lakers- young, first yr.

Now look at thibs. Head coach for 15+years, on his 3rd team. If history repeats itself, he will be gone off season. He doesn’t stay for more than 4-5yrs.
